Our Mission
Our mission is to develop products which improve clinical outcomes for breast cancer patients selecting Breast-Conserving Surgery (lumpectomy, or BCS) over mastectomy. While aesthetic outcomes of BCS are superior to mastectomy, patients undergoing BCS face an increased likelihood of repeat surgeries and local recurrence of breast cancer. Our objective is to introduce for the breast surgeon, radiologist and pathologist tools that will enable the clinical team to reduce re-excision and recurrence rates by a factor of two over the next three years.
